With a new generator unit for old spindle machines such as Kampf Autoslit, Conslit or Starslit, you can achieve just that - and more!

Five reasons for a new generator unit:

1. It improves the reproducibility of the production process.
2. It optimizes web- and production control, as the web tension can be set more precisely.
3. It increases the availability of the machine compared to the drive with a disk brake, as the maintenance effort for a brake pad replacement is eliminated.
4. It reduces electricity costs as it works with electricity back feed.
5. It improves occupational safety, as no harmful brake dust is produced.

In the new generator unit, a three-phase motor works as a generator brake. It brakes the original roll in its core and generates a specific material tension (brake tension) in the unwinder. Depending on the operating mode, the three-phase motor can also drive the original roll if, for example, small winding tensions are required.

A dancer roll unit will also be installed, which is used to determine the web tension. It can compensate fluctuations in the tension which for example are caused by an out-of-center original- or mother roll.
