Why is Kampf building?
The expansion of our site is a decisive step towards positioning ourselves for the future as a leading partner for slitting and winding technology.
Modern technologies
We are investing in state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure to be able to respond to the requirements of the market and the needs of our customers even better than before.
With digital technology and optimized processes, we are increasing the quality and efficiency of our products. This will also enable us to offer services and tailor-made solutions over the long term that meet our customers’ expectations.
Space for collaboration
We are creating an environment that promotes collaboration between our teams and fosters mutual learning and ongoing skills development. And our team thinking extends beyond our own employees, to our partners and customers—because in our joint pursuit of solutions to our customers’ challenges, we are all members of a whole.
Efficient logistics
As part of our strategy to continuously improve and optimize production processes, we are also working to increase the efficiency of our logistics processes. The Logistics Center will give rise to innovative solutions that optimize processes and heighten productivity.
A technology center that sets global standards
With THE LINQ—Home of Slitting and Winding, Kampf is investing in what has always made us strong: leading technologies and close relationships with our customers. THE LINQ will act as a bridge connecting information, technologies, and people in the digital world.
Its technology and dialogue centers will bring together research and development, continuing training, and community exchange in around 3,000 m² of floor space.
The origins of our success lie in Wiehl. Our headquarters is the location where our leading slitting and winding technology began—a technology found today in areas such as packaging, battery cells, monitors, and many more. THE LINQ will be a place that further develops this tradition and leads it into the future.
Research and development
The machinery in our technical facilities will enable us and our partners to develop and test new technologies. In the facility of 1,500 m², we will be able to observe special applications in practice-like conditions, develop custom solutions, and optimize them to precisely meet our customers’ requirements.
Dialogue center
THE LINQ will additionally house a dialogue center to which we will invite our partners, customers, and employees so that they can exchange knowledge, acquire new competencies, and build networks. As a leading partner for slitting and winding technology, proximity to people is an essential part of our success—and we are providing space for it here!
Technology, digitalization, service
THE LINQ will play an integral role in our active orientation to the future. It will serve as a basis for the ongoing expansion of our technical and digital expertise. It will additionally place the focus on our customers and strengthen our range of services over the long term.
Logistics for the world of tomorrow
Kampf operates worldwide and is globally networked. Wiehl is our central location and the cradle of our success—and we want to keep it that way.
Thanks to good transport connections, the plant is a foundation of our success in terms of logistics as well. To ensure that we can maintain and expand this position in the coming decades, we are building a new, state-of-the-art high-bay warehouse. Here, in an area of over 2,500 m², we will store spare parts and components required both by our customers and in our own on-site production of market-leading slitting and winding machines.
The Logistics Center is thus a response to the needs of our customers. Digital technology and a high degree of automation will allow us to respond to inquiries considerably faster and more flexibly in the future. In this way, we are creating the logistics of the future and laying the groundwork for unprecedented productivity.
