Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik GmbH & Co. KG welcomes new COO

Dr. Benedikt Sitte, 38, joined Kampf's managing board as COO on January 1, 2023, and in this role supports CEO Markus Vollmer and CFO Rike Johnsen in the operational sector. We spoke to the new board member born in Cologne.

Dr. Sitte, please give us a brief wrap-up of your career up until now.

Initially, I studied mechanical engineering and industrial engineering in Aachen and then earned a doctorate in mechanical engineering in the field of production technology and plant engineering. After that, I worked for more than 5 years in various management positions in the Herkules Group. In addition to numerous interesting and challenging technical tasks at first, I was also later responsible for the areas of sales, engineering, production and service as managing director at a subsidiary in eastern Germany.
After a few years, however, I was drawn back to North Rhine-Westphalia, where I managed a business unit for the Windmöller & Hölscher Group for the past five years.

Guided by the desire to move back to my homeland, the Rhine land, I accepted the opportunity to join Kampf to support the company as part of the managing board. This was a real stroke of luck.

"It is important to me that I set up Kampf with my team in a future- and customer-oriented direction."

Dr. Benedikt Sitte

What are your responsibilities at Kampf?

My responsibilities as COO and managing director include development, design, procurement, installation and setup, as well as the IT sector. Every slitting and winding machine we develop and sell, my team and I will handle accordingly in the operational business.

What aspects of your new position do you find most interesting?

The challenge of taking the internationally outstanding company Kampf even further appeals to me. To further develop customer-oriented products with this team of experts and to successfully bring them to market is something I find inspiring and very exciting. I have the ambition to provide first-class excellence in operations. However, it is important to me that I not only manage the company, but actively help shape and develop it.
Kampf is to become a provider of solutions that go far beyond classic mechanical engineering. In addition to new fields of application, I also want to further expand automation concepts and assistance systems and promote the development of digital solutions. This will enable us to offer our customers the full range of life-cycle services.

We wish Dr. Sitte all the best and much success!
